OVERVIEW
Make your stay educational as well as enjoyable by immersing yourselves in Hungarian culture with the Fungarian Team. In just two hours you will get a grasp of the beauties of our ancient language and learn a few phrases so you can make yourselves popular among the locals. Find out about some achievements and inventions you didn’t know were Hungarian while enjoying some Hungarian flavours by tasting pogácsa (savoury scones), our national snack.
Groups will be arranged in groups around coffee tables. Teachers will conduct whole group and smaller group activities. After leaving you’ll look at the city and the locals in a different way, you’ll feel like at home.

The general scenario of the session is as follows (it can be easily modified to special interest requests):
The Language of the Magyars. Funny Hungarian letters, pronunciation exercise and some socialising and survival phrases for the time you stay in Hungary. Plenary session followed by repetition and practice in smaller groups. Learning how to offer food and saying thank you over pogácsa and drinks. – 35 mins
Hungary Quiz 101 to be solved in groups (5 mins). Some very simple questions and some advanced level ones. Competition where the winning group gets a prize.- 20 mins
Map-reading – things you can find Only in Budapest – 10 mins
Tongue twister competition between groups – 15 mins
Unique Hungarian products – things you can find Only in Hungary- 15 mins
Question time, wrap-up.
